Jeff has built a career in professional trading by combining a passion for macroeconomics and geopolitics with his innate ability as a calculated risk-taker. Jeff is a natural-born competitor, strong-minded and pragmatic, but still enjoys the fun lifestyle of Miami with his wife and three children. Education
Jeff attended Florida State University, where he earned a B.S. in International Finance. Recognizing his interest in the macro world of finance, he sought a more applicable education than a simple economics major, believing that economists were less impactful. Before graduating, he was selected to attend a U.S. State Department-sponsored conference focused on the economic development of the Former Yugoslavia. After this experience, he realized that a career on Wall Street would better utilize his skills than a path in Foreign Service.
Jeff has been trading professionally since 1998 when he went to work on Wall Street right out of university. He spent over two decades at hedge funds, learning how the best traders in the world made consistent money in the market. After sharpening his skills into a fine edge, he ultimately turned his back on Wall Street, deciding to hang up his suit and tie for a life of independent options trading. These days, Jeff devotes his time to finding the best trades in the options market โ and teaching his students how to do the same.
